Purback Film Festival - 17th October to 2nd November

The Purbeck Film Festival was established in 1996 with the aim of bringing a rich variety of cinematic experiences to the rural area of Purbeck.

The Purbeck Film Festival is one of the UK’s longest-running rural film festivals.

Each October, our Autumn Festival brings a diverse programme of films to unique venues across the region. Then in the summer, our Cinema Under the Stars series offers outdoor screenings at iconic Purbeck locations like Corfe Castle and the Blue Pool. We also run pop-up screenings and special events throughout the year.

Autumn Festival 2025: Friday 17th October – Sunday 2nd November

The Purbeck Film Festival holds popular and affordable ‘Cinema Under the Stars’ events each summer and has done for many years. In 2025, we showed a range of family favourite films in beautiful venues all across the area: Harry Potter and Paddington in Peru at Corfe Castle, Wicked  by the pool at Knoll House Hotel, A Complete Unknown at Carey’s Secret Garden, Shakespeare in Love at the Langham Vineyard and Moulin Rouge!  at the Blue Pool to name a few.
