About the event
Dorset Art Weeks (DAW) is an annual open-studios and arts festival across Dorset where artists, makers, photographers, sculptors, ceramicists, and craftspeople open their studios, galleries, homes, and exhibition spaces to the public.
As a part of this huge art trail, from Friday 29th May to Sunday 7th June, Jubilee Hall Poundbury (venue 164) will come alive with creativity in Art@TheJubilee — a brilliant showcase of local talent featuring everything from pure abstraction to realism, from oils to wire and from beautifully controlled colour palettes to bursts of exuberant colour.
Twenty-seven Art in Poundbury Club members will take over a huge wall with a wide range of styles and topics! With the eleven featured artists (including Art in Poundbury Club members Judy Tate, Carolyn Fields and Pam Philip) there every day, it’s the perfect chance to explore inspiring work, meet the makers behind it, and stop for a friendly chat about their art, inspiration and methods.
Jubilee Hall is just around the corner from Waitrose Poundbury, has easy parking including a car park one minute away, free entry and a warm welcome await.
You will find two other DAW venues in Poundbury venue 165 (Sunshine et Buttercups) and venue 163 at The Duchess of Cornwall Inn.

The artists themselves are a joy to meet. among the featured exhibitors:
Carolyn Fields
Carolyn Fields will be exhibiting a range of pastel paintings which take inspiration from local scenery and abroad. She will also be exhibiting hidden fore-edge paintings on a selection of gold-leafed hardback books.
Mala Hassett
Landscape taken apart — reassembled in colour, texture and an instinctively Indian palette.
Rebecca Guyett
Vibrant energy bursts out of Rebecca‘s recent collection of oil paintings ‘Big Skies’ - which will be displayed at the Art@ The Jubilee. Expansive vivid skies fill the canvas over minimized rural or urban ground, creating transfixing impressionistic landscapes.
Judy Tate
A long-standing soft pastel artist who is currently enjoying a fresh challenge with mixed media acrylic products - Studio based work is often inspired by flowers and seed heads and is increasingly of a more abstract nature.
Pam Philip
I am mainly a landscape artist in oils and sometimes soft pastels, and enjoy en plain air painting in the inspirational countryside and coast near my home.
Reba Bawden
I would describe my work as unique, small-scale hand-thrown ceramic vases that showcase soothing neutral colours, making them a perfect fit for any home. To explore more, visit: https://rebabawdenceramics.my.canva.site/
Roy Winstanley
Roy responds beautifully to the sensuous curves of Dorset Landscape in his Watercolours and Acrylics, laying down layer after layer of paint, creating highly memorable images
Caz Scott
Caz Scott paints contemporary images of the Jurassic coast.
David Metcalff
Woven wire animals and birds on reclaimed tools and wood.
Elizabeth Wilson
Creating atmospheric oil paintings is my aim when portraying the outstanding sea and landscapes of this beautiful part of Dorset.
