Dear Poundbury Residents,
We were dismayed to learn about the recent incident at the Great Field play area, where excrement was deliberately left on the play equipment. This kind of behaviour is deeply upsetting and goes against the sense of care and respect that defines our community.
The safety and well-being of the community, especially our children, is a top priority. The Great Field is a valued space for families, and it’s disheartening to see it mistreated. While such incidents are rare, we take them seriously and will work closely with local authorities, including our police liaison officers, to address and try to prevent antisocial behaviour.
We want to encourage everyone to take practical steps to protect and care for our shared spaces. Reporting any suspicious activity, reminding one another of the importance of respect, and supporting community-led initiatives are small but meaningful ways we can all contribute.
By working together, we can help ensure the Great Field and all our community areas remain safe, welcoming, and full of joy for everyone.
Kind regards,
LovePoundbury/The Community Association of Poundbury (CAoP)
