The August Art Af'Fair' at the Duchess of Cornwall Inn was another venture by Art at the Duchess and proved of great interest to the visitors during the holiday season. Visitors were invited to select a piece of art that "caught their eye" over the the three weeks of the event. The most popular piece turned out to be the ceramic sculpture by blind artist Shanni Galton from Portland, who along with her business partner had created this intriguing and beautiful piece, "Nymph Silvae ". Voucher hotel prizes generously donated by Hall and Woodhouse were presented to the visitor winner Heidi Stephenson from Winterborne Whitchurch, alongside Shanni Galton and Anaick Ankers. Presenting the awards was Kyle Barton (Team Leader) on behalf of the General Manager Dan Mills and David Kingman curator of Art at the Duchess.
