Art at the Duchess presents cheque to Weldmar Hospice

This week the Director of Art at the Duchess presented a cheque to Weldmar Hospicecare for Two Thousand and seventy pounds. Receivng the cheque was April Ward from Weldmar along with Richard Bradley, Claire Lunnen-Kay and David Kingman. The sum was raised at The Harmony Festival in June of this year. The event was a celebration of music, art and nature at St Mary's Church in Dorchester.

Art at The Duchess continues to support charity with their forthcoming August event the August Art Af'Fair'. During the month of August over 40 artists will offer their work in support of The Lantern Trust. There will be an opportunity to engage with artists during the weeks and for visitors to nominate a piece of art from the displays that "catches their eye". Visitors will then be entered into a draw where the winner will receive a super prize. From the nominations the artist receiving the most "eye catches" will also be rewarded.
