Weymouth Beach has welcomed a new feature that’s perfect for a day out by the coast. The observation wheel, which opened this week and will remain in place until October, now stands tall on the Esplanade at 26 meters (85 feet) high, offering stunning views of Dorset’s Jurassic coastline.
Equipped with spacious pods that can accommodate a total of up to 108 passengers, the wheel includes a gondola designed to be accessible for people with disabilities. You can take a ride between 12 PM and 5 PM on weekdays or during extended hours from 11 AM to 7 PM on weekends.
The wheel joins a variety of beach attractions, including trampolines, a pirate-themed coaster, and a balloon ride, creating a lively and family-friendly setting along Weymouth’s shoreline. If you visit, please do send us a photo at whatson@lovepoundbury.org.
