GOOD NEWS FOR SUNDAY TRAVEL

Poundbury's Sunday bus service is being extended through summer 2026, following successful advocacy by the Dorset Transport Action Group (DTAG).
The No 10 service, which First Bus initially extended through Poundbury on winter Sundays as a trial, will continue running the extended route this summer—every 20 minutes during the day (with less frequent service early morning and late evening).

The X51 to Bridport will also continue its two-hourly Sunday summer service.
The Route
The Sunday No 10 follows this route through Poundbury:
From Dorchester, stops at Mansell Square
Continues along Middle Farm Way towards the Mey House roundabout
Returns down the Peverells
Includes the stop outside Bowes Lyon House, near Queen Mother Square
Returns to Mansell Square, then onwards via Dorchester to Weymouth
Use It or Lose It
Whether you're heading to Dorchester town centre or Weymouth on Sundays, the No 10 makes it easy. But services like this depend on ridership—so please use it if you can. Showing First Wessex that the route is valued helps ensure it continues long-term.
