New Bench Brings Extra Comfort to the Great Field

Community spirit shines as generous donors help provide seating for pharmacy patients

Poundbury locals and visitors to the Great Field now have another place to rest, thanks to the thoughtful placement of a new bench by Dorchester Town Council. The new seating, positioned conveniently opposite Poundbury Pharmacy, joins the existing bench outside the doctors' surgery to create a more comfortable outdoor waiting area for patients as prescriptions are being filled, for example.

Councillor William Gibbons said, "We are delighted that the Town Council have installed a second bench on the Great Field opposite the Poundbury Pharmacy, which complements the one outside the Doctors surgery. The Council have made a contribution towards improving facilities for waiting patients. Both benches have been paid for by donors."

Gemma Spencer, manager of the Pharmacy said, "We are very pleased that the Town Council have installed this bench for the benefit of our patients/customers, who can use it when they are waiting to collect their prescriptions."
