New Charity Partner for The Duchess of Cornwall Inn

The management of The Duchess of Cornwall Inn are proud to announce their new charity partner for 2026: The Lexi May Trust. With the support of Art at the Duchess, the Inn will be encouraging patrons to support this wonderful cause when visiting.

QR codes and collection boxes will be available on the ground floor, and a range of fundraising events will be held throughout the year. A percentage of all art sales will be donated to the Trust, and even those who simply come to view and enjoy the artwork are warmly invited to make a small donation, which will greatly support the Trust’s vital work.

About The Lexi May Trust

The Lexi May Trust supports families with terminally ill children or children living with life-limiting conditions. The Trust was founded in 2016 by Lexi May’s parents, in loving memory of their beautiful daughter, who sadly passed away on 9 January 2016, aged just eight, following a brave battle with a DIPG brain tumour.

Lexi May was the middle child of four daughters - a fun-loving, smiley, and happy seven-year-old when she was diagnosed in January 2015 with an inoperable brain tumour known as DIPG. Her family was given an estimated nine to twelve months to create precious memories together.

“We made many wonderful memories with our daughter, and we want other families to be able to do the same.”

Supporting Families in Dorset

As part of its ongoing projects, The Lexi May Trust is delighted to offer families in Dorset the use of a beach hut in Swanage. This peaceful space is also available to families who have lost a child, providing a quiet place away from home to reflect and grieve.

The Trust also funds days out for families, covering costs such as transport, entrance fees, meals, and entertainment vouchers.

Fundraising Event – Save the Date

One of the key fundraising events for 2026 will take place on Sunday 23 August 2026: “Bark in the Park”, a family fun dog show. This joint event between Art at the Duchess and The Lexi May Trust promises to be a fantastic day for all ages.
