Poundbury Good Things: A New Chapter

Since launching in August 2025, the Poundbury Good Things initiative by the Community Association of Poundbury CIC has raised funds for community causes, built relationships with local makers and retailers, and — thanks to the warmth of this community — found its way into people's homes across Poundbury and Dorchester. We're enormously proud of what's been built in less than a year, and enormously grateful to everyone who has bought, volunteered, stocked or simply spread the word — and especially the founding team of volunteers whose hard work made PGT what it is today.

Now, Poundbury Good Things is evolving.

Our initial range — the tote bags, tea towels, cards, ceramics, candles, prints and jigsaws that so many of you have loved — remains available while stocks last, and you'll find it at our Love Poundbury stall at the Kite Festival on 25 July, the Dorset Food and Art Fair on 1 August, and Bark in the Park on 23 August. And while we're selling through what we have, we're already working on what comes next.

A refreshed range is in development, inspired by the many perspectives of Poundbury and the stunning images submitted to our Love Poundbury Through Your Lens photography competition — beginning with cards and calendars that bring Poundbury's own community photography into your home. It's a first for Poundbury Good Things, and a natural evolution of what Love Poundbury has always been about: celebrating this place through the eyes of the people who love it most.

We also want to deepen our work with local makers, and are actively welcoming new collaborators into the fold. If you're a local artist, maker or designer interested in being part of the next chapter of Poundbury Good Things, we'd love to hear from you at pgt@lovepoundbury.org.
