Something Good is Coming to Poundbury

There's something new brewing in our community — and it's all about celebrating the place we call home.

We're excited to give you a first glimpse of Poundbury Good Things, a brand-new initiative designed to showcase the creativity, pride, and generosity that make our community so special.

Still in its early stages, this project is set to launch a limited collection of beautifully designed merchandise that reflects the essence of Poundbury — unique cards and prints, a candle inspired by flowers of The Great Field, tote bags, and tea towels, amongst others. Every item will tell a local story, with profits going to support good causes here in our community.

The designs and branding, including a hare logo inspired by a Roman-era brooch found in Dorchester, have been lovingly crafted by talented local volunteer Mary O'Flaherty. And while we're not quite ready to reveal the finished products just yet, we can promise they'll be beautiful, thoughtful — and unique to Poundbury.

Why "Good Things"? Because it's about more than merchandise. It's about connection, creativity, and giving back. Whether you're buying friends or family a gift, picking up something special for your home, or just showing Poundbury some love, each item will help raise funds for meaningful community initiatives.

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Poundbury-based GMS Plumbing and Heating Supplies for their kind contribution to the Poundbury Good Things initiative. Their support is helping us bring this project to life, and we welcome interest from other sponsors too!

We'll be sharing more soon — including sneak peeks, stories behind the designs, and how you can get involved. For now, keep an eye on our #

LovePoundbury social channels for updates and ways to support.

And if you're a local retailer, maker, or potential sponsor interested in being part of the pilot, we'd love to hear from you at volunteering@lovepoundbury.org.
