Visit Borough Gardens

Just a 10-minute walk from Poundbury, Dorchester’s Borough Gardens is the perfect place to celebrate summer with family and friends. This historic gem is a beautifully tended space filled with unique and inviting features, including a splash pool and children's play area, adult fitness equipment, a bowling green, a beautiful bandstand, and picnic benches. 

This year, the Dorchester Civic Society has added a stunning new carpet garden, an intricate display bursting with vibrant patterns and colors. It’s a true feast for the eyes! The refreshment kiosk has also welcomed new management, ensuring a very good selection of snacks and drinks.
