On Wednesday evening, 7 October, more than 70 of you joined us at Damers School for our latest General Meeting, a chance to look back at how the Community Association has grown and to look ahead. We were honoured to welcome several guests, including Mayor Les Fry and Mayoress Julie Fry, and our new Dorchester Town Clerk, Charmaine Denny. Thank you to them for joining us, and to the volunteers who organised and ran the evening. Our slides are available here and a full report will follow next week.

A new chapter for our finances. Adele Brothwell has stepped down as Treasurer because of work commitments. We thanked her for her service to the CAofP, and to the PRA before it, and for steering us through our first year of operation. We are very grateful. We also introduced our new Treasurer, Melanie-Kate Fowler, and we look forward to working with her.

You asked, the panel answered. The evening closed with our Stakeholder Q&A, expertly moderated by Tim Wilmot. The panel of local decision-makers worked through around ten questions, on topics from parking, to marijuana smoking in public spaces, to how to report antisocial behaviour. There's far too much for one article, so we'll share the answers topic by topic over the coming weeks.

Watch this space for more next week!
