Blooms in Poundbury

A group of volunteer residents met recently over coffee with a shared vision: to make Poundbury more colourful through floral plantings. Would you like to help?

The group formed through the 'Love Poundbury' volunteer bank of the Community Association of Poundbury are working together on this pilot project. They've been exploring ideas for creating more colourful floral displays around Poundbury and one of the most promising approaches is brightening up small spaces near their own homes. Some residents have already started working together with neighbours on projects such as planting bulbs around the grilles at the base of trees, which will look lovely in the spring.

A community project like this could help forge new friendships and improve our surroundings for everyone to enjoy.
