Dorset Council Age Friendly Survey

Updated: Nov 12

ree

Dorset Council has just joined the UK Age-friendly Network—an exciting milestone that connects us to a global movement working to make towns and cities more inclusive and supportive of older people. This could mean anything from more benches to stronger community connections and more job opportunities for the over 50s.

We would love for you to be part of this journey: connecting with others, sharing your experiences, and helping us build a more inclusive Dorset for older people.

Why your views matter

The survey asks about your experiences of ageing in Dorset, using eight key areas that affect our quality of life—like housing, transport, health services, and social participation. Your feedback will help us understand what’s working well and where we need to focus first.  Our first report will be published in spring 2026.

Want to stay involved?

There will be lots of ways to take part as the work develops. You can join our network, become an ambassador, or even help shape our plans by joining the reference group.

We’re excited to begin this journey with you—and we’ll be sharing more updates soon.

If you would like to respond in an alternative way, like a paper survey, contact us at talktoadultsteam@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk or 01305225610.
