1 min read

The boundaries that determine how Poundbury is represented at Dorset Council are under review, and your views are being sought. A ten-week public consultation, run by the independent Local Government Boundary Commission for England, is open until 9 November 2026.

For those of us in the Poundbury area, the key wards affected are Dorchester Poundbury, Dorchester East, Dorchester West and Charminster St Mary's, The draft proposals largely retain the existing arrangements, with only a minor boundary adjustment between Dorchester East and Dorchester West. The Dorchester Poundbury ward is proposed to remain unchanged.
