When Robbie and Sharon first moved to Dorchester in 1990—drawn here by Robbie's football career with Dorchester Town—Poundbury was still just a vision on the planning boards. Fast-forward over three decades, and they've watched our beloved community grow from concept to the vibrant neighbourhood we know today. Sharon is excited by their business move to Poundbury: "We're drawn to its vibrant atmosphere and strong sense of community."

When someone inherits beloved family furniture that doesn't quite fit their space or style, Interior Tailors steps in with their restoration magic, giving these pieces "a fresh lease of life and finding them a new, loving forever home." Robbie's passion for woodwork spans decades—he worked with furniture restoration for 20 years before he and Sharon took ownership of their Dorchester workshop ten years ago. That genuine love of craftsmanship shines through in every project, from delicate antique repairs to complete furniture transformations.

Interior Tailors has emerged from an exciting transition: previously operating as Furniture Medic, the franchise brand was recently sold, leading to a licence termination. This change has given Robbie and Sharon complete freedom to operate under their new name—Interior Tailors Limited—with the same exceptional team and craftsmanship, now with even more personal touch.

Their new shop in Challacombe Square is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 4pm, where you can meet Sharon and explore their current stock. Whether you're curious about restoring a family heirloom, need reupholstering services, or are simply looking for something unique for your home, you'll find inspiration and expertise in equal measure.
