Next WeeK: CAofP General Meeting on Wednesday 7th October, 6–8pm, Damers Hall
Updated: 5 days ago
We'd like to remind the community that our General Meeting is next Wednesday, 7th October, and we'd love to see as many members there as possible.
The evening will cover our progress since the AGM in May, our certified first-year financial accounts, and plans for the months ahead, and is your chance to hear how things stand and help shape what comes next.

We're delighted to welcome Charmaine Denny, Dorchester's new Town Clerk, and Mayor and Mayoress Fry, alongside representatives from the Councils, MANCO, the Duchy, business, the police and community organisations. Our popular Stakeholder Q&A Panel returns, giving members the chance to put questions directly to the people who make decisions about life in Poundbury. We've already received a great number of questions ahead of the meeting, with several touching on the local consultations currently under way, and we're looking forward to a lively and informative session.
Also on the night: several new Poundbury Good Things will be on sale, including our calendar, our new colouring book, and new Christmas cards. We will be holding a raffle too, with all profits going to community causes.
The general meeting is open to CAofP members. If you're not yet a member, joining is free and takes just a few minutes: lovepoundbury.org/membership-registration. Membership is open to everyone who lives, works, or volunteers in Poundbury.
See you on Wednesday!
Can't make the evening meeting? We'll be holding an accessible daytime summary session for members who are unable to attend the October 7 meeting, whether for mobility or other reasons. This will take place at Bowes Lyon on Wednesday 14 October, 2.30-3.30pm.
Spaces are limited to 25 people. To attend, please contact chair@lovepoundbury.org.
