One of the highlights of the Love Poundbury – Through Your Lens photography exhibition at The Duchess of Cornwall Inn was the opportunity for visitors to vote for their favourite photograph from the winning images on display.

A great number of visitors viewed the exhibition over its two-week run, with many taking the time to cast their vote for the image that best captured the spirit and character of Poundbury.

The Visitors' Choice Award was Happy Cat the delightful photograph by Jim Potts which proved to be a firm favourite with the public. The image had already enjoyed success by winning the Community Category in the competition, making this a second well-deserved accolade for Jim.

Everyone who voted was entered into a prize draw, and Lisa Cosh was the fortunate winner. She received a Love Poundbury Hamper, kindly sponsored by Poundbury Good Things, together with a voucher generously donated by The Duchess of Cornwall Inn.

The presentation took place at The Duchess of Cornwall Inn, where Lisa was presented with her award by Tim Wilmot, Communications Director along with David Kingman the Through Your Lens Organiser. Jim Potts was also presented with his category award having been absent from the Awards night.

The overwhelming response to the exhibition and the Visitors' Choice Award has provided a fitting conclusion to a highly successful event, which celebrated the talent of local photographers while showcasing the beauty and unique character of Poundbury. Organisers are already looking forward to next year's competition and encourage photographers to continue capturing the changing seasons and special moments that make Poundbury such an inspiring place to photograph.

Competition entries will be open from February 2027, so get snapping!!
