Join Us at the Love Poundbury General Meeting – and Win a Taste of Poundbury Good Things

The next Community Association of Poundbury Members General Meeting is taking place on Tuesday, 27 January, and this time we’re delighted to combine an important moment in our community calendar with a chance to support a much-loved local space — the Pavilion in the Park (PIP).

Alongside the formal business of the evening, we’ll also be raising funds for PIP  through a special raffle, with a prize that celebrates the best of local flavour and craftsmanship: our first Poundbury Good Things hamper.

This hamper curated by Poundbury Good Things lead Emma Taylor brings together some of our favourite items – our canvas shopper and Honeywings tea towel — with treats from local businesses and makers. It’s a wonderful showcase of the quality, creativity, and care that goes into Poundbury’s independent food and lifestyle scene — and a perfect reminder of why supporting local matters.

In the hamper you’ll find mint creams from House of Dorchester, renowned for their luxury chocolates made right here in Poundbury. There’s lemon-infused olive oil from Olives et Al, experts in bold, beautifully sourced ingredients that transform everyday meals into something special. The hamper also includes Dorset Tea and Lemon Fudge from Brace of Butchers, celebrated for their commitment to quality produce and local producers, as well as a hand-poured candle from the Rhubarb Candle Company, bringing a touch of calm and comfort to any home.

Every raffle ticket purchased will help support the Pavilion in the Park, which plays an important role in bringing people together for activities, events, and everyday enjoyment. By taking part in the raffle, you’re not only in with a chance of winning a fantastic hamper — you’re also helping to ensure that valued community programs continue.

So please join us on January 27th for the AGM, enjoy the company of neighbours and friends, and take part in the raffle. It promises to be an evening that reflects the very best of our community spirit, local pride, and good things shared.
