Please read these terms carefully before entering. By submitting your entry, you accept these Terms & Conditions.
Eligibility

  • Entry to the competition is open to everyone aged 18 years and above under the entry fee guidelines.

  • Participation is restricted to amateur photographers (i.e., you do not run a photography business).

  • Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.


Submission Requirements

  • Each entrant may enter a maximum of three images.

  • Entries must be in digital format only—no prints or slides will be accepted.

  • Entries must be JPG files of the best quality available, 1MB minimum, 4MB maximum, max 1200 pixels by 1600 pixels (regardless of orientation), using sRGB colour space, minimum resolution 300dpi.

  • Entries must be free from text and photographer's watermarks.

  • Photographs can only be entered online via www.lovepoundbury.org.

  • Entry fees: £2 for one photo, £5 for up to three photos.


Privacy & Data Protection

  • Personal details will not be passed to any third party without permission.

  • Your data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • We will only contact you about this competition unless you opt in to receive our newsletters.


Ownership & Permissions

  • All submitted photographs must be the original work of the individual who submits them.

  • Entrants must ensure that photographs have been taken with the permission of the subject (where necessary) and do not infringe the copyright of any third party.

  • If your photograph includes recognisable people, you confirm you have obtained necessary permissions. You must keep these for your records.


Rights to Use Images

  • By submitting a photograph to this competition, entrants agree that the Community Association of Poundbury (CAofP) and Art at the Duchess reserve the right to free reproduction and exhibition of the image in all media to promote their work.

  • Photographers will be credited if an image is used.

  • The copyright of photographs remains with the photographer.

  • Selected images may be used by the CAofP for promotion, cards and other materials, with photographer credit. Some such materials may be sold to raise funds for community causes.


Digital Adjustments

  • Digital adjustments are acceptable; the way in which any digital enhancement or editing has been used will be considered when judging the entry.

  • However, major changes of content and AI-created images are not allowed.


Judging

  • Judges appointed by Art at the Duchess and the CAofP will choose the winning entry in each category and two runners-up.

  • The organisers' decision on all matters relating to the competition is final, and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the competition's judges and organisation.

  • Due to the anticipated high number of entries, individual feedback will not be provided.


Winners & Exhibition

  • A list of prize winners will be available on the CAofP website: www.lovepoundbury.org.

  • Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 8 June 2026 at the Duchess of Cornwall Inn.

  • Winning entries will be exhibited (mounted and framed) at the Duchess of Cornwall Inn from 8-21 June 2026.

  • Twelve images may be selected (one for each calendar month) for production of the 2027 calendar, and additional images may be selected for postcards and to 


Liability

  • All entries are sent at the photographer's risk.

  • The CAofP and Art at the Duchess regret that they cannot accept liability for any loss or damage of any images entered in the competition (howsoever caused) nor for any other loss or damage resulting therefrom.

  • By entering this competition, you consent to the CAofP processing your personal data for the purposes of administering the competition, contacting winners, and (if you opt in) sending you newsletters and updates about community activities.
