An update on membership donations and a new way to support us

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has already responded to our first donation renewal invitation. We truly appreciate the generosity, and it makes a real difference to what we can do for Poundbury.

A quick reminder of how this works: rather than asking all members to renew their support at once, we are inviting each member to consider donating again in the same quarter they originally joined. Spring joiners were the first to hear from us this June; summer joiners will be contacted in September, autumn joiners in December or January, and winter joiners in March. It's a rolling, year-round process rather than a single annual appeal, so if you're a member, your invitation will land at the right time for you.

A new, easier way to donate

We're also pleased to confirm that donating is now even simpler. Alongside bank transfer, you can now donate securely online online via PayPal or by Debit or Credit card, taking just a couple of minutes. This applies whether you're responding to a renewal invitation or donating at any other time via the Donate tabs on the Love Poundbury Virtual Community Hub.

As ever, donations are entirely voluntary, and every contribution—whatever the amount—helps. Member support funds our core running costs (website, newsletter, insurance, accountant fees, and meeting room hire), as well as community activities and any new initiatives we're developing for Poundbury, as long as volunteers are also available.

Who can become a member?

Membership of the Community Association of Poundbury is free and open to anyone who lives, works, or volunteers in Poundbury. Everyone has access to our website and can subscribe to our free weekly newsletter, but members also get discounts at local businesses, are invited to special events, and can attend our general meetings where many issues that matter to them are discussed with key local decision-makers.
